The visit was all too brief, but our hearts were glowing after a fabulous day in DC, and we sure had fun taking this Blogger selfie!

Oh the joy that blogging offers.
I’ll be on the road for a bit, so I’ve pre-scheduled some images from 36 hours in DC.
Take care, my friends. Catch up with you soon!
** Note! I scheduled this post a week ago, and completely forgot. After a week of hype and build up, I happily woke up to snow! Photos later 🙂 **
It was such a pleasure to have a little time at home, to get the house in order, to take care of some business details, and to visit with a few friends. As the day progressed, I couldn’t help but be distracted by the light.
Thanks for your patience as I share the results of playing with the light.
And happy is good these days!
Yep, as I was riding along in the setting sun. Red Rock. In Southwest Virginia.
Sometimes I’m home at just the right time to catch the evening light on the rhododendrons outside my front door. I wish I could take credit for them being there, but they came with the house when I bought it 16 years ago.
Different Colors / Different Evenings.
The snow has stopped and spring has truly arrived! It’s time for motorcycle rides, outdoor festivals, baseball games (that’s for you, Ralph), and Happy Hours out of doors. Okay, and yard work.
Bull & Bones at the River (http://www.bullandbones.com/?q=river) has a wonderful deck overlooking The New River and it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine with friends at the end of a long day at work. And of course, the early evening light is perfect for photography.
