Washed, Waxed, Ready!

One of the things on my pre-trip “to do” list was clean the bike.  All those rides in the rain had left my motorcycle pretty much a mess.  As yesterday afternoon headed toward a beautiful evening, I gathered the necessary supplies and headed outside.  To be honest, I would have preferred to just ride, but there was work to be done!

I’ve never named a bike that I’ve owned, nor have I assigned a gender to one.  That’s just not my thing.

Somehow though, “it” just doesn’t sound right for something this pretty!

I know you all may be getting tired of my pre-trip excitement, but I just can’t help it!!!

Now … if I could just figure out how to save photographs from my camera SD card to my borrowed Samsung Galaxy Tablet, I’d be a happy woman!

2 More Days!!

    • Believe it or not, the past 3 years, I have just posted from my Blackberry (I just love a real keyboard!). Since I really couldn’t post photos, I’d add photos to the blog post once I got home. This year, I thought I’d try a tablet (my pc is too big for the bike and it’s my only computer so I didn’t want to risk it). I’ve got the right equipment to get the photos from the camera to the tablet, but can not for the life of me (okay that sounds dramatic) SAVE them. I’ve got 2 more days to figure it out …

    • Oh thank you! I am sure it is something simple … and I have googled the heck out of it to no avail. I have a friend locally who may be able to help, too.

  1. Does your borrowed Samsung Tablet have an SD slot? Or a USB port? I suppose you’ve already thought about that. Well good luck, technology is baffling to me at times. What I might do is stop into a shop that sells that Tablet an make inquiries as you would if you were thinking of buying one. Any sales kid would probably show you if it is possible.
I think a name for your beautiful bike would be kind of cool, I always like looking thru marina’s to see what they’ve named them. I once saw a picture of a wrecked row boat on a beach that was named ‘Bottoms Up’ HA.

    • You are so right! Boat names are truly fun. I’ll ponder that as I head on down the road tomorrow morning … early … in the rain. 50% chance (which means there’s a 50% chance it won’t be raining, right?), It’s one thing to pull over when it starts … it’s quite another to start out in the rain. I’m just hoping that it’ll be dry when I leave. Keep your fingers crossed!

  2. You have done a great job of polishing that chrome,
and how excellent it looks too, you should have done
a before and after kind of thing so that we can admire
all of your hard work cleaning it 🙂

I know what you mean about the naming and adding
gender to a bike or car, I mean how nuts is that idea? 😦

    Have fun now…
