I was heading home last evening after a long (but good) day when the shadows that appeared like stripes on the grass caught my eye. The scene revealed evidence of the past winter, the recent flood and the coming of spring.
What a lovely way to end the work day!

I love the photos of the sunlight streaming across the grass, and also sparkling on the water. I don’t know why, but those are some of the most interesting and inspiring images from nature that I enjoy.

Oh man, green grass! Yahoo! Hard to imagine that little innocent looking creek flooded. Glad the trees survived. Nature is plenty powerful.
I wish I knew how to share pictures of the flood. A whole parking lot full of cars was completely covered. Even still, the power of water amazes and thrills me!
I am so ready for spring!
