Frozen in Time

_MG_1384-2

Actually I wish I was frozen in time!  As it is, time is rushing right past me!

It’s been 7 whole days since I have posted!  Those of you have followed me for the past 2 1/2 years know what a record that is.  I’ve enjoyed the few moments I’ve had to photograph winter, while most of my time has been devoted to the campaign.  Thankfully, I’ve found a few moments to get by many of your blogs.  You’ve been doing some great work!

Stay tuned!

Later this weekend, if you have time to stop back by, you’ll be learning about a fabulous 24 hour getaway with a dear friend.

Stay warm my friends!!

  1. Time does seem to pass quickly…..for some, and for others, well, it may seem like a ‘black hole’ that’s enveloping them forever. I’m definitely a part of the first group……no matter how pointedly I “live in the moment” with all my attention focused on the “now”, the moments seem to evaporate at an alarming rate (and this is not limited to us more mature folks!!! I hear it frequently from the younger set who should be of the mentality that time is dragging!!!!)!!!! I am ready for flowers and green grass, though!!!!! Hugs………………………

    • I’m sure you are ready for the greening that comes with spring! And I hope you get more time on the river this year!
And you are so right about the time thing … it happens to all of us at all ages. The good thing you do is to be mindful of it and keep trying to live in the moment. I’ll wish us both good luck with that 🙂

    • Thank you, Bruce, for noticing! And yes, the time away is exciting … and daunting! I’m meeting such great people and have received wonderful support. You are one of the great people and I smile each time I think of your support. I’m a bit behind on my notes, but know that I am grateful, more than I can express.

  2. Gorgeous!! You are doing so much and I know I keep saying this but, I just love your perspective on this winter weather. Your images express that you are in the moment, finding the beauty and appreciating the view. I love that.

  3. Laurie, I’ve missed your posts all week, although I realize you must be very busy and too frozen to type. My body told me three days ago that it was sick of the long underwear and two pairs of socks and cracking fingertips. Let’s hope the spring arrives soon!

  4. Fantastic image! Coming up to one month to go m’dear! Sqeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! [I leave home 6 am on the 2nd] I’ve outdone you on the tardy blogging thing – with no political campaign excuse either – been trying to get a post ready for the past month 🙂 Time is doing that face flattening speed race thing! xoxo

  5. That’s a great analogy Laurie 😀 I haven’t seen any icicles around this year. Too flippin’ cold I guess. You needn’t feel bad about 7 days, I’m going for a record myself. Just can’t fit it in just now but having a good time visiting friends here and there. xo k

Because Boomdee dared me: Lay a little sugar on me :-)
