Chrome for the Holidays

_MG_0750-3

Clever title, eh? ย Since the bike has been absent from the blog for several weeks, I decided it should be front and center for Christmas.

May your holiday be full of laughter and joy, and find you surrounded by the love of family and friends.

As we open our hearts and arms to those in need, may our roads be dry, our travels safe, and our adventures abundant.

Peace to you, my blogging friends, no matter what holiday you celebrate.

  1. That is perfect for you and for Christmas! Now with solar powered sparkly lights you actually could ride like that! You’d look like a cross between Santa and a real mod Fairy Godmother – which of course you are ๐Ÿ™‚ xoxo

    • ohhhh! Solar powered lights …I’ve seen others do that. Might have to try it! I love the idea of being a real mod fairy godmother!!! Hope you’ve enjoyed the holidays!

      • Not too bad mate, been hot here, high twenties (Centigrade), I am used to the only thing getting cooked on Christmas day being the dinner, until I moved to NZ ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Thank you, Seonaid! I decided I’d best put a bike picture up given that my blog is about Life on the Bike! ๐Ÿ™‚ Merry Christmas to you as well … hope it’s been lovely!

  2. Excellent choice!!!! Chrome is ALWAYS the appropriate theme, gift, purchase, etc!!!! LOL!!!! Awesome photo!!!! My “baby” is winter hibernation and sporting a slight cover of dust…….but it won’t be too long……….well, in my dreams anyhow!!!! LOL! Blessings to you, dear bloggy friend and i look forward to another year of tagging along with you through your posts. Hugs…………..

    • Thank you so much, Doreen!
My sweet bike is not doing much more than hibernating … It was actually 50 degrees on the day after Christmas and friends were out riding. Me? I was so lucky to be spending time with my son!
Happiness and health to you. xoxo
      Laurie

      • Your choice of visiting with your son sounds just perfect. We finally got the appropriate December weather over this past weekend and this morning it is a snow-covered landscape with 14F temps……sigh and ugh! It is on such days that I really miss the wood heat! I will most likely spend time quilting today and being toasty/cozy indoors, with my coffee by my side!!! LOL!!!!!

  3. Safe travels in every sense of the word to you too, Laurie. Love the Christmas card, mr. Walker who has a deep fondness for anything on wheels and makes noise, nodded aproval and said: ” awesome photo’. Love and Peace from Ohio, Johanna

    • Oh gosh! I somehow missed this, Suz. Thank you for your lovely wishes! I’m hoping the same for you (much later … now that we are trying to get organized!)

  4. Very clever and creative! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season! As you can see, I’m trying hard to catch up on my blog reading….Happy New Year to you and I look forward to seeing much more of your fantastic work in 2015!

    • Oh how funny, Susan … I’m just seeing this as I’m trying to get caught up!
We’ll all be back in the routine soon enough. The holiday season was wonderful, especially that week between Christmas and New Years.
And yes, I’ll look forward to being inspired by your work this year!

  5. Well, I could have sworn I saw this post but no message was made. Dang I’m so far behind. Well I love your photo for this day, it’s so you Laurie. A bright light, a little sassy and cheerful pretty much has you written all over it. I know I must have wished you a Merry Christmas somewhere along the way, a least I sure hope I have. It’s been a great to follow your fab things this year. Happy New Year my dear!

    • I’ll bet you saw this on my FB page. I made it my profile shot for the holidays ๐Ÿ™‚
I so understand the getting behind! I devoted all of last evening to getting caught up on blogs and it took hours! and I’ll bet I didn’t get to your last one. Oh my!
A little something is coming in the mail but since I didn’t really do Christmas until the 22nd and after, it will be mid January by the time you see it ๐Ÿ™‚

Because Boomdee dared me: Lay a little sugar on me :-)
