Whether it's one simple yet somehow perfect day or a dreamed about journey finally realized, I never want to forget the joy of the moment or how fortunate I am!
Thanks! and you’ll love this story … I read up on depth of field before I rode yesterday and said “oh that’s what you call it”! Seriously, I purposely do it but didn’t know the name. Anyway, I was trying to get stark clarity of the bike with the background blurred but couldn’t quite manage it (maybe because it was pouring the rain and I was worried about the camera …excuses, excuses). So I decided to make it B&W and add a little soft focus.
It definitely is! And being able to combine the two, for me, is wonderful … although I was a bit challenged yesterday. The lightning was downstriking, the rain was pouring and there I was stopped at an intersection with the camera out! No worries … I was in the middle of no where. Obviously though I had to put the camera away 🙂
Really nice shot LB, love it in B&W.

Great photo,…..I rarely think about the bad weather when I ride unless my fingers begin to form frost bite from the cold. I despise hypothermia.
Thanks and I agree! We were just saying that yesterday. 10 minutes of a huge downpour with thunder and lightning and then it was back on the road.

Thanks for appreciating the post!!
Great photo, and the words are spot on 🙂
I know you get it! Thanks
LB, your love of riding, is the same equivalent as my love for photography!!! It is so great to have a passion that makes your heart beat isn’t it?

Awesome shot ,…
Thanks … I wish I’d gotten a photo of the lightning, too! It was quite the storm!
Nice picture, well-spoken.
Thanks so much for the comment and for checking out my blog!
That is a fabulous shot! Nice lighting and DOF.
Thanks so much, Robyn! It was a great ride, even with the rain!
B&W changes the whole mood of film. Makes you read between the lines and imagine the moment even more. Great shot LB.
I’m so glad you like it. It just seemed perfect for B&W
I love how you captured your bike. Wonderful!
Thanks Mae … It was pouring and I was happy 🙂
