Whether it's one simple yet somehow perfect day or a dreamed about journey finally realized, I never want to forget the joy of the moment or how fortunate I am!
Absolutely beautiful, lady! We ended up in a motel in Florence last night with a couple of men next door from Canada (Alberta and British Columbia) who we’re doing a big loop down into California and then East, as the whim took them. The NW coast in summer is a great place to motorcycle. The temperature is going down to 50 and up to 60-few so they appeared comfortable in full helmets and long leathers.
and by the way … I have got to find the time to learn PS / Lightroom! I think I’m going to have to take a vacation just to spend time learning. Just in case you were wondering why I’ve only watermarked a couple photos.
You should call me on a Sunday when you have time, I could walk you through it in 5 minutes 🙂
Me too! and you would have laughed to have seen me – backing up the truck, jumping out, shooting the scene, thinking I’m done, and moving forward again, only to stop, back up the truck, and repeat! 🙂
Thank you, Mae, and I hope you are still trying to squeeze in some quiet moments for yourself!! I believe you blogged about that a month or so ago. Spa time, right??? 🙂
Ha ha, Bruce! I was thinking the same thing. When I do commute, it’s on the bus through city streets. But I think I can still take Laurie’s advice and stop, breathe, and look around me.
I don’t go out to work, and I’m almost never up that early. And yet, this morning I woke at 6:45 and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I checked my email and found this post, with these beautiful photos. It feels like you took me on the ride with you, Laurie. So thank you!

I am so envious of their trip, and of yours! I’ve enjoyed seeing the photos and hearing the stories!!

Heather! Thank you and so good to hear from you 🙂
That light is amazing! You captured it well! Is this photo as it was taken off the camera or have you edited some? Maybe HDR lol?
Thank you!!
No HDR … just a little contrast. I was definitely in the right time / right place.
Spectacular images Laurie, the light rays are amazing 🙂
I was definitely in the right time / right place. In fact, I backed the truck up twice to get these images and barely got to the office on time 🙂

I love sunrays like that.

Mother Nature sure provides beautiful scenes for us to try to capture, doesn;t she?
I couldn’t agree more!
Thank you, Mae, and I hope you are still trying to squeeze in some quiet moments for yourself!! I believe you blogged about that a month or so ago. Spa time, right??? 🙂
Excellent reminder, LB. (But I think you have a different commute than me.) Have a great weekend,
Bruce, I am very lucky to have a short, pretty commute. It makes that whole “stop and smell the roses” thing easier for sure!

Beautiful! You know, I always have my camera with me but only once have I stopped on my way in to work to take some photos! I feel change coming on!
YAY!! Do it!!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve showed up, ready to see patients, and had a little mud on the shoes or the pants 🙂
🙂
Stunning photos! Always a joy to come here.
Oh Deborah, thank you! What a lovely comment
