My post for Monochromia this week.
It was a bright, sunshiney day, but tell me, do you think it was cold or warm? This image could go either way, right?

I commented over there as well Laurie but wanted to tell you, I love this shot. The capture of the light coming through is gorgeous!
Thanks, Lynn. I, too, love the light coming through that silhouette.
The image reminds me of a cold November night, but I image you’ll tell me that it was warm that day…right?
You are exactly right! I was walking one morning, probably 60 degrees, and took the shot. My impression after downloading was that it looked like a cold, winter day
Looks cold to me. But that would be a little welcomed
Hey Terri, I guess you would indeed welcome some cool weather!
It was a 60 degree morning, but the image made it look like it was cold.
Despite the lack of foliage, it looks warm to me
You are correct! It was 60 degrees, and I was enjoying a morning walk.
I recently wrote, “You can’t tell the forecast by peeking out the blinds.” Right? Right!
Exactly! Such a great quote, Jim.
Hop on the bike and breathe.
Yesterday offered a very short, 20 minute ride, but hey, a few minutes is better than nothing!
You see trees so beautifully! I love this, feels warm to me.
You are correct, Carrie. It was a warm morning.
Thanks for your comment about tree photography. They definitely catch my eye.
Mine too!
I don’t think it is cold cold – it is very evocative though. A storm could be coming in ……
Good morning (well, almost afternoon) Pauline. Last night’s Skype session was wonderful wasn’t it? If we can’t all be together, it’s the next best thing!
and you are right, this image was taken during a warm morning walk.
I’d say cool and damp.
You got the damp right!
It was actually a fairly warm winter morning, but I though the image made it look chilly
It looks cold to me. I think that its because of the lack of leaves on the trees.
Hey Sheryl, it was a winter morning, but a bit warm, and I was enjoying a nice walk around the neighborhood
Last time I saw a vision like this it was cold as _ _ _ _ and blowing like crazy. I vote COLD.
This is a brilliant image!
Lynda, I’m so glad you like this image! I really like how it looked, too.
Something about a tree silhouette that draws my eye every time.
(it was a nice, warm winter morning)
It needs a moon and an owl I reckon..
I’d take those additions almost anytime!
Photoshop?
What a beautiful photo–so much to look at! It definitely says “cold” to me, though.
I think it says cold, too, yet it was a warmish morning.
When I uploaded the image though, I thought “cold”.
Glad you liked the photo, Kerry
So funny. I just walked away from my office windows where I was enjoying the dark stormy clouds and the rain/snow mix. I was thinking I’d like to be home under a blanket with some cocoa and the first two blog posts I read have stormy looking skies. May have been sunny, but it looks cold and overcast to me.
Your last sentence describes the scene … it was warm, but upon uploading, I thought it looked cold.
I believe we had our last snow for the year a week ago.
We shall see …
We are supposed to have snow on Friday, but I do believe global warming may foil that again. Sort of sad. We need more moisture.
this is so gorgeous 🙂
