During the middle of our zero degree day, I literally ran outside in between patient appointments to capture the incredible blue sky. Β As I turned around to go back inside, the colors of these leaves caught my eye.
Today … the sky just could not compare.
THAT IS GORGEOUS!!!!!! The pale teal(?) is a stunner and sets everything off so perfectly (but it is composed by the Master Artist, yes?????). Absolutely perfect post!!!!! Hugs………..
The teal is what caught my eye! Isn’t that an amazing color … no matter what time of the year!
Totally agree!!!!!!!
I love it π
Thank you, my friend
π
Nicely done LB! It’s great that the leaves retained all that color in the dead of winter!
It is! and I walked by the same spot this evening and the colors seemed to have faded. Strange …
I can’t believe how colorful they are for this time of year…wonderful capture.
Thank you, Laurie! I was just commenting previously, that I went by the same spot today and the colors already seem to have faded .. so glad I caught them the other day. Perhaps it was the cold, cold weather π
The sky can wait.
What an great comment! Love it!
What amazing colours – I have never seen anything like that – is it a result of the weather conditions? They look as if they have been painstakingly hand painted or dyed and artfully arranged ….. nature is a wonderful thing!
I think it must have been the weather … the colors seemed to have faded today, and the temp was as high as 40 degrees. Thanks Pauline π
The pallet of autumn on leaves is one of a kind π beautiful photographs
Thank you Klaudia!!
Beautiful! They look like a colorful mosaic. You really know how to capture the essence of objects you observe. So lovely and interesting to look at.
Thank you, Deborah, your comment means alot to me
lol…sometimes the things we least expect catch our attention…great mix of colors!
Exactly!! It was not what I expected!
Colorful!!!!
Thanks, Jim!
Marvelous textures and colors! Just lovely!
I agree with the comment about the pale teal.
I was so surprised about that color … and that is what caught my eye and made me stop. Thank you!
Really beautiful. xoxoxox
Thanks so much π
It’s amazing how many colours can fall from the same tree, it would be a pretty water colour painting for a capable artist. I like the lightest coloured ones best, it’s like turning on a light.
I know! I think the tree is a type of Japanese Maple, but not sure. And it was the light ones and the teal ones that caught my eye.
I’m getting ready to leave the office after my first full 5 day work week, full tilt since the wreck. Phew! Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend, Boomdee!! As always, I love seeing your comments. xoxo
You made it to Friday! Hopefully unscathed π We are planning to drive out to see Franny Daye, Mr’s B.’s mom and tonight is the ‘NO cooking night’..ha! So that’s always a good start. What’s shaking on your social calendar? You seem to always be doing something fun!
Incredible colours of the fallen leaves!
Pretty cool, huh? They made such a great palette of colors. Thanks so much for visiting. π
The colours really stand out LB
and how nicely observed, thank
you for adding this one π

You are always so kind, Andro. Have a great weekend!
You are welcome my sweet friend π π
Have a really nice time this weekend
Andro xxxx
I love those colours π
Me, too. Mother Nature is fine!
She wears the best clothes π
LB, your lovely catch has reminded me, that when I was very little we used to rake up the leaves in a big pile out front, and then I would bury myself inside. It was a camphor tree, if I recall, and the smell was divine! π
Gorgeous photos!
What a lovely memory, especially the camphor!
Hi LB, when you talked about the “zero degree day,” you reminded me to crank up the air conditioner. It’s burning hot here in the Southern Hemisphere, which makes looking at your beautiful pictures even more appealing.
I’m so glad I could bring some cool to the heat down there! Today … just rain but it’s made for a lovely fog (do I sound crazy?) π
ahhh the frozen ground…Mother Earth’s jewelry box
Perfect desription, Liana.
Really lovely photos. Funny, I have a post “….Are you grounded?” coming up in a few wks. Addresses EMFs and the literal energy of the ground we can harness.
Oh, I’ll be looking for that! Thanks for the visit!
Wow! I can hardly believe how perfect those leaves are! The colors, the textures and shapes. You do a great job with framing them.
Thanks Crystal! I’m so glad I looked down … the colors really grabbed me!
beautiful and gorgeous colors π
Thanks … just one of those right time, right place opportunities. The next day, I swear, the colors had faded.
