Whether it's one simple yet somehow perfect day or a dreamed about journey finally realized, I never want to forget the joy of the moment or how fortunate I am!
Nope!!! I’m sure there are a significant number of us!!!! Especially if DH is rapidly expanding the number of wine bottles in HIS stash!!!!! This is one “hobby”/interest that we both are definitely enjoying!!!!!!!! Ha!
Beautiful photos Laurie – Love the double crown effect – have been known to go for that look myself from time to time ….. 🙂
Such lovely, mellow pictures perfect for Christmas Day. Looks like your day was a lovely as mine, though I only wore one cracker crown! Happy Holidays!!
I like the look of a two cracker crown. I’ll have to try that next year! I’m happy to hear you had a great time. A belated Merry Christmas and wishing you a very Happy New Year!
Your photos are stunning. I’m always drawn to photos of water reflecting back. I like the sun kissing the top of the first picture. Peaceful. I needed that today.
Thanks so much (I’m trying to do better at just accepting the complement and not pointing out the negative 🙂 )
My son picked out this room for me specifically for the view … it was so lovely to be on the water for Christmas morning. I’m glad you enjoyed these, Alys!
Nice! And good for you for taking the compliment. We can all work harder at that, don’t you think? It’s so easy to deflect a compliment, when instead we should embrace it and enjoy the appreciation. I’m always working on that.
Glad you are here.
Looks beautiful there! Open water is something I always look forward to in the spring. I might just lay on that dock for a bit and stare up at the blue sky and when I got tired of that, I’d roll over and look over the edge to the reflecting water to see what might be down there. Well, besides your face smiling back up at us 😀
Lol. I’m reading this while my wife is passed out beside me. Her wine may have caught up with her too. 😉 I’m trying to finish this bottle, and it’s a bloody tough job.
This first shot is just lovely. So is the second one, but the first is just really nice. *hiccup
Aww, thanks for the comment about the smile. I’m a bit self conscious about it since the wreck. I’m looking forward to getting my “real fake teeth” in the next couple months!
Nice post Laurie and it looks like you had a great time (along with a good buzz, LOL). Enjoy your day 😀
Yes … somehow that wine caught up with me! It was so nice to spend time with my son!
That’s great 😀
Happens to the best of us!!!!! LOL! Blessings………..
So glad it’s not just me 🙂

The Double Crown – a new addition to the age old tradition!

Yay for the crown! Perhaps we should all wear crowns when we have our Blogger Cocktail Party! It will be a celebration after all 🙂

Oh yeah … too much fun (in a very good way!)

Nice photos Laurie! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and all the best for the New Year!
Thank you! Charleston was chilly for a southern city on the water but the weather was beautiful! And a happy, healthy 2014 to you, too!!
Awesome! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, LB!
Thank you, Jim! I hope you enjoyed a lovely holiday with family and friends!!

Good luck to you on that bottle! 9 hours later, perhaps you accomplished the task 🙂
Happy New Year!!
I have to agree with your sentiments on the photos, just as you said it: the second one is nice too, but the first one is just….
I commend you for your caring dedication to helping your wife out with her wine. You’re a good man.
😉
🙂 !!!
I love your shots of the grasses and reflections, but more than that I love your relaxed smile. Seems that you were having a lovely Christmas!
