While sitting around the fire on a perfect Friday evening, enjoying alittle of the local flavor in a bottle (I thought you of you, Joe), I caught these photos. I though of Earthstills, too (Hello Weekend!).
I know there isn’t a photo of a lovely beverage, but I sure was enjoying one!
Bike Trip in Seven Days!
Just lovely!
Thanks Mae … I was happy with these, especially the first one!
Thanks for the honorable mention!!
Great shots btw, love the composition and richness in the colours!!
Ah, and a happy, no doubt well deserved weekend to you too, my dear!!
Thank you! It’s been a full weekend of celebrating a friend’s soon to be twin grandchildren. The picture of the moonshine didn’t turn out but these two photos did, thankfully!
I love both photos LB, the first one head on so you can see the wood grain, but the second angle is great too. I’m enjoying a little local flavor in a bottle too (although not as local as yours, LOL). Samuel Adams Boston Lager.
Love Sam Adams! I too think the first is the best, but the second is kinda nice. The wood grain is wonderful!
Awesome images. I really love the first one.
Thanks Edith! Me too (about the first one)
Me too. The patterns and colours are so eye-catching.
oh pretty – nice to see a little fall color (we don’t really get that here!) I especially love the second one with the leaf blurred out….
Thanks Lisa!! I do love the fall colors … I’d sure miss them if I lived where you do … then again, I don’t have the fabulous water like you do!!! Love your gravatar, by the way!
They are both lovely, but the first one isn’t even fair. It’s a knock-out! Very nice!
Aw thanks, Bruce!! It’s fun when all the photo image stars align up!
I’m with Bruce, that first one is a knock-out! Although, I do like the dreamy quality of the background in the second one. Lovely!
Thanks Lynda! and you described the second one perfectly … it is kinda dreamy! Are you seeing much color change on the Farmlet?
I’m just not trying to blow smoke up your ‘you know what’ but both your photo’s are publish worthy works of art. No kidding Laurie, you have THE eye. Pinning to my Photography board for inspiration. With a single subject you’ve captured so much texture and the essence of fall. Clipping for encouragement……

Great shots, love the colour of the timber and the grain, beautiful!, and the red leaf creates a nice colour contrast.
Thanks Callie! It’s always nice to hear from someone whose work I admire! And the colors are right up your alley, right?
Juice diet, eh? Isn’t wine a form of juice 🙂 (just kidding! good luck!)
yes well I suppose wine is made of grapes,so its a fruit.I am starting to feel so much better after the juice, not so tired.
That definitely means you are doing the right thing then! You’ve been working and no doubt running yourself ragged. Less fatigue will help you focus on what your next step will be!

I love the sense of mystery of the second one.
Yes! Lynda called it dreamy and you mysterious …it is both! Thanks Marcelo … hope you are well!
I love it when I see photos like this, simple but fabulous…
I agree! It was those lines in the wood that grabbed me and yes, are fabulous!
Good one
