After the Storm

Once the thunder, lightning, wind, and rain are gone, there is a calmness on the lake that lures me back outside. ย Within minutes, my feet are in the water and the camera is in my hand.

I loved the larger view of this image because of the movement, color, and designs on the water, but I just had to crop the photo a bit so the raindrops floating along in the curve of this leaf were more visible.

    • Thanks Bruce. A friend on FB said it looked like a mini-Loch Ness ๐Ÿ™‚
I was pretty happy that it looked so sharp, especially since the water was moving so much. A lovely moment out there.

    • Liana, thank you! Not sure if you are back home or still traveling (I need to get to your blog soon!!).
Take care my friend, wherever you are โค

    • Thanks Joe! Enjoy your evening, and thanks for all you are doing to make Monochromia such a great experience – for the participants and the visitors!

    • Edith, thanks so much! The movement of the water was a challenge in achieving the clarity I wanted … but it turned out okay ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I love the larger image for the view of the leaves shadows in the water. It reminds me of those inks plots, I’m seeing a moose (do you see it too?), I wonder what that says about me?

  2. I love the movement of the water as well.

I’m trying not to drool over the sentence about thunder, lightning and rain which you’ve thrown off casually as if it happens all the time.

    …oh right…it does. Lucky stiff!

Because Boomdee dared me: Lay a little sugar on me :-)
