Once the thunder, lightning, wind, and rain are gone, there is a calmness on the lake that lures me back outside. ย Within minutes, my feet are in the water and the camera is in my hand.
I loved the larger view of this image because of the movement, color, and designs on the water, but I just had to crop the photo a bit so the raindrops floating along in the curve of this leaf were more visible.
Magic Laurie ๐
Thank you, Pauline. How are you and the gang of three today (you know … you, Orlando, Siddy?)
We are marinading nicely ๐ Thank you for caring ๐
Pin sharp ๐
Thanks mate!! ๐
You are getting good at this ๐
So much to look at!!!!!!!!
Doreen, thanks! I think you would have been happy out there with me on the dock, post storm. Peaceful
One of my fave spots when at a lake!!!!!!! Mesmerizing for sure!!!!!
Nice photos, Laurie. As the page was loading, the leaf shape was same as a bird’s. I guess it still is. It’s reflection on water is so sharp, too.
Thanks Bruce. A friend on FB said it looked like a mini-Loch Ness ๐
I was pretty happy that it looked so sharp, especially since the water was moving so much. A lovely moment out there.
Just divine. The patterns in the water are gorgeous.
I thought the water looked so neat too … so peaceful out there!
the last leaf . . . absa nailed it
Liana, thank you! Not sure if you are back home or still traveling (I need to get to your blog soon!!).
Take care my friend, wherever you are โค
Incredible image Laurie the raindrops are pin sharp ๐
Thanks Joe! Enjoy your evening, and thanks for all you are doing to make Monochromia such a great experience – for the participants and the visitors!
Good choice on the cropping! Those drops are missed on the original. And like Joe says, pin sharp!
Thank you Emilio!
These are beautiful Laurie. Well scene and shot.
Edith, thanks so much! The movement of the water was a challenge in achieving the clarity I wanted … but it turned out okay ๐
I love the larger image for the view of the leaves shadows in the water. It reminds me of those inks plots, I’m seeing a moose (do you see it too?), I wonder what that says about me?
I do see the moose! At least the antlers leaning forward, right?
cool!
Love it ;O)
Thanks! and thank you for visiting and commenting!
I love the movement of the water as well.
I’m trying not to drool over the sentence about thunder, lightning and rain which you’ve thrown off casually as if it happens all the time.
…oh right…it does. Lucky stiff!
So beautiful, I love these photos! ๐
