Morning on Main Street November 21, 2013 by LB The sun was shining brightly on these historic buildings. They just don’t make ’em like this anymore. Ahh … the upside to early morning dental work! Beautiful, intense color and detail, I love it. Have a great day LB 😀
I was hobbling across the street, looked up, saw the brilliant sky and wispy clouds against these beautiful old buildings … and hobbled right back to the truck for the camera!
No they don’t. I was at a concert at a circa 1800 theater last nite. Couldn’t stop admiring the crown molding and craftsmanship. Stay well!
I’ll bet that was wonderful to see!
What a cool building. As the saying goes, they don’t make ’em like they use too. Such a shame because these Gems are so much more interesting I think. I love how the sky meets the facade too, it’s almost too artistic to be real, like in the movie Truman. Good luck today LB.
I sure got lucky with the morning light, didnt I?
NO! we got lucky, you were prepared! 😀 I need to take my camera more often, even when I don’t anticipate taking photo’s. The ‘unexpected’ moments can be inspiring, like you! xoK
love the trim work on this building…I’m a huge fan of moldings the home as well! beautiful sky…hope all goes well with your appointment!
It’s the little things like the trim that accentuate the building and bring out it’s personality. (seeing a specialist about the teeth next week …)
Fantastic shots I like the angle and they are extremely sharp
As I told Joe in a previous comment, I was hobbling across the street, looked up, saw the brilliant sky and wispy clouds against these beautiful old buildings … and hobbled right back to the truck for the camera! It was a lucky morning!
No luck, good spotted well done, Im always looking and see wonder things to capture, but never have my camera. how organised am I
have a great weekend
Thanks Alys! Right time, right place 🙂
And forever modest, too.
beautiful trimmings… your unusual shot draws the eye towards the intricate trim 🙂
Thank you! You are right, I wanted to highlight the trim as it, and almost the entire building were lit up by the morning sun.
Great details! I hope you are feeling better.
They really don’t make buildings like that anymore!
