Have you visited Liana’s blog? Her work inspires mine.
No, I am not the poet / writer that she is but if I can gain even a measure of her skill with the camera, I’ll be satisfied.

Many of the photographers that I follow inspire me, and I plan to highlight some of them over the next months. When one of my images aspires to the style of someone I admire, I’m going to post mine, referencing the photographer at the same time.
That’s a nice shot 🙂
Thank you TBWNN!! (okay ,,, I’ll stop now)
Um, I would like to point out that you appear as LB.. 😀
You are so very right!
What’s funny is that my friends / family call me a variety of names (well, I mean on a good day) – Laurie, LB, Bucky, LD. Whatever works!!
I think that most people accumulate names as they travel through life, the more the travel, the more names 🙂
Thanks for sharing Liana’s page here 😀 I really like her blog and I can see she has a lot of photos from Ireland. I have also visited Ireland, one month ago, so it brings memories back 😀
I’m glad you checked out her blog. She writes and photographs beautifully.
I’ve not been to Ireland, but I sure hope to get there someday.
It’s the nicest thing, to be inspired. I just peaked over yonder and Liana’s photo look magical. I’ve bookmarked for a go back.
There’s always room for improvement and that’s what makes our artful endeavours interesting and fun. I’m always learning something at WP and I love that.
Now I’m mesmerized by your composition LB, how do you set your camera to burst the lights behind the subject? I really need to get back to camera work. I couldn’t find my camera battery charger in this mess and then I found it but now don’t know what I did with the battery, HA. I’m a scattered mess. Happy Weekend! xoK
I’m sure you are surrounded by boxes and piles, but I know that you are creating a beautiful new living space. Hang in there K, I’ve been sending positive and calming thoughts!
0h! and thanks for checking out Liana’s blog 🙂 She’s so talented … like you! And yes … I’m always learning something from my friends on WP. So very grateful for the wonderful journey that is WP blogging!
I’m swooning . . . this feels so good to read . . . just how long can I indulge this myth that I am doing anything but imitating what I see? For a photographer, I’m quite the poser, Laurie, and that’s the Goddess’s truth 🙂
P.S. that is one delicious petunia, girl 🙂 LOVE IT
I’m so glad you like the petunia … I definitely thought of you when I saw it!!
Beautifully done Laurie!
Thank you so much, Laurie! You are of course, one of the photographers I follow that I’ve learned from!!
Pingback: Please pass this note to Laurie | the hour of soft light...
I love this shot Laurie the backlighting and bokeh are great as is the color and the little fuzzies (watchyamacallits) came through awesome. I must confess though, I am a big fan of Liana’s work also 🙂 Have a great weekend Laurie.
Her work is incredible … as is yours, and I’m sure I’ll highlight your work at some point too.
And yes! the fuzzy whatchyamacallits are fun in this one!
I see you liked the whatchyamacallits 🙂 You are selling yourself way too short with your work my friend 🙂 Enjoy your weekend Laurie.
Liana is quite the inspiration…I’ve spent literal hours going through her archives…admiring her photography and absolutely loving her words.
This is a beautiful image, LB….and it’s all Yours…..
That “and it’s all Yours” really brought a smile to my face. Thanks so much!
You’re very welcome, LB. 🙂
Hello! Just wanna come by because Liana’s blog referred me to you. Beautiful shot of Petunia.
I’m so glad you came to visit! Thank you for the comment and I’ll look forward to visiting your blog in return!
That is a beautiful – and artful – shot! And I am a fan of acknowledging those who inspire us. Liana has a lovely blog too – thanks for the introduction 🙂
She surely is talented. I’ve met many talented people on WP … and you, of course, are one of them!! Thanks Pauline!
The bokeh in that photo is truly beautiful. Laurie, you have your own style of photography (and I love it). Can I aspire to be like you?
Suz, you have made my smile BIG! What a truly lovely comment to read. Thank you!!
You are so very welcome 🙂
First time here, via the lovely Liana, and what a beautiful light caught by those fine stem hairs – I love details like that – gorgeous photo!
