We spent time with my MIL this past weekend, and as we moved things in and out of her apartment, I kept walking over the Japanese Maple leaves that had fallen to the ground.
Each and every time I went in or out of the door, I had to stop and take a picture. I can’t even tell you how many photos I took.
What can I say? I was enamored!

How I wish the Japanese Maple was hardy enough to be grown here on the prairies of Canada. It’s just too dang miserable over winter. Today, it’s -22 C (it may warm up to -19 C later, whoop). It’s so fabulous that simple fallen leaves can make us smile. You’ve captured their seasonal joy perfectly too. 🩷K
