Illness visited my house last week, and because of that, I was not paying attention to the weather report.
Okay, let’s be honest, I never pay attention to the weather report.
Needless to say, I was surprised when I opened the curtains Saturday morning to see snow on the ground.
We’ve all seen Daffodils push up through the snow, but I’m pretty sure my Redbud Tree had not seen the white stuff before.
Between spring snow and upcoming travel, my bike will remain quietly on the carport for another week. Sigh …
Last week was a horrible joke weather-wise. This week Mother Nature seems to be trying to make amends. This weekend will definitely include a riding day! 🙂
How’s it looking now for you?
It’s finally warming up and I WILL be on the bike tomorrow 🙂
It’s beautiful!! … and for sure I will be out enjoying it 🙂
My bike has had its spring tune-up and I’m ready to roll.
Hope you have a great weekend on the road 🙂
“Sigh” is right!!!!! Very disheartening. 😟
Is it warming up yet???? Fingers crossed for you, Doreen!
80F and sunny…..gorgeous! Got a bit gardening done (cleaning out!). Beautiful weather to come home to! Thanks so much for thinking of me…..sweet hugs……….
Surprising and beautiful, Laurie!
🙂
The weather really did suck last Saturday but you did get some gorgeous images Laurie 🙂 I hope you are feeling better than when I spoke with you.
Much, much better!
AND
I’m getting on the bike tomorrow 🙂
There have a number of these surprise days up here this past month. Looks like Mother Nature may finally be giving us a break, promising warmer temperature & sunshine over the next week! Can’t wait to get my bike out!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you are out riding this weekend!
I squeezed in a ride late yesterday afternoon! It was heavenly 😀
Oh how wonderful! I’m packing up the bike now (well, as soon as I leave WordPress!)
I think the difference between your bike & mine, is mine has no motor, just my legs struggling to make it go! Happy riding today!
Mother Nature is full of surprises. 🙂 We are having rare thunderstorms today. 🙂 I love it.
Oh I love thunderstorms, too!
As long as I don’t have to go out in them. 🙂 Lightning terrifies me. Probably the only thing that does.
It must be a rare event -snow in April. Your photo of the redbud tree surrounded by snow is just beautiful! Do hope to hear you are well again xoxo
so glad you like that one, Pauline. It was such a pretty contrast.
And tomorrow: I ride!
Yes…all my tulips are coming up under the snow, dang! I have a few words for the weather…but I’m a gentleman so I’ll just go outside, with my winter coat on, and whisper a thing or two.
BTW…Great pics LB.
~ Dave
Dave, do you still have snow on the ground???
For you, and your tulips, sake I hope not!
Oh boy, we do! BUT, its almost gone and the forecast is heading well above freezing for the next few days…so everything should be good. The other day I plowed a 10 x 20 foot path across the lawn so the robins could get some food (worms) out of the ground. Although there is lots of snow the ground is soft enough for the birds to do some digging. I love these robins…the same ones have been coming back to my house for years, have their babies and then leave.
A bit long winded I know…but thanks for asking…I hope all your snow is gone, LB.
~ Dave
What a great visual, Dave. Thanks for sharing, and I’ll keep hoping for some snow melt for you this weekend.
The redbud, the forsythia, the green leaves and the snow. What a photo! I’m glad you’re feeling better–or well enough to blog it!
I’m so glad you liked that photo, Lisa. I loved the combo, too. What a sight to see when I opened the curtain 🙂
I imagine it made you feel better right away.
It is an amazing picture with the flowering trees and bushes- and the snow. It is so unusual. Hopefully spring will be here to stay very, very soon. 🙂
I think, at least here in Virginia, that spring is here!
You made the best of the snow by taking those great photos!
Kerry, it was so beautiful!
Hope all are feeling better and I love the snow photos!
Pretty much back to normal health, thank goodness.
And how strange … last weekend, snow. This weekend, gorgeous spring time weather.
